It feels intimidating to post in this board because this is the first post here. I made this dumb but fun au a month back, and it's still taking up a lot of my headspace, so I thought I'd share.
It takes place during Enter the Florpus, where Zim realizes that the Tallests aren't coming, and decides that the empire doesn't deserve his greatness if they refuse to recognize it. His mission for Earth changes to destroying it for himself. Since Zim is adept at destruction, he completes this and leaves without consequence. Zim travels the galaxy, making a living from shady dealings with other aliens, and leaves a path of disaster in his wake. This unintentionally causes the downfall of the Irken Empire, and he never makes that connection. It's not in character, but I really like the idea of Zim traveling around the galaxy doing hot girl shit and looking fashionable. I even drew Zim in one of his outfits:
