Warnings for hunting, and animal (specifically rat) death. Also, implied ZASR.
So, basically this AU relies on the premise of Skoodge moving into Zim's basement after Blorch. Unfortunately, because his base is in the middle of a human city and because GIR leaves a lot of food lying around, (and because Zim's base has bunches of hidey-holes) the base is absolutely infested with rats. Rats are trigger for Skoodge. Skoodge won't stand for this. When traps and bait and fumigating the base doesn't work (and a rat-killing ray created by Zim almost blows the base sky-high), Skoodge turns to a different solution: rat-hunting ferrets.
He goes to several hunting classes, gets his permit, acquires a pair of rat-hunting ferrets, trains them to hunt rats, and sets them loose in the base. (Skoodge was initially looking for a dog, but even small terriers are too big for him to handle, and their barking annoys Zim.) Zim isn't happy about the ferrets in his base and tries to get rid of them, but when the rats stop nibbling through the wires of his projects, he comes around.
Skoodge starts a pest control business to bring in some extra income, and eventually becomes a respected figure in the community as its supreme Rat-catcher. Zim is secretly proud of Skoodge and gives his ferrets cybernetic upgrades to make them even more effective.
The ferrets are named Diggy and Bitey (Skoodge was originally going for Mauler-of-Rats and Killer-of-Rats or maybe Grasper and Keeper, but GIR's names for them won out.)

Skoodge commissions a fancy oil painting of himself and ferrets and hangs it up in the foyer (think "Lady with an Ermine"). If he can't get the recognition he deserves on Irk, he'll get in on Earth.

Tank may have actually grown up with Diggy and Bitey in an AU where this crosses over with Tank's AU.
