Dib deserves to be a weird older mentor figure if he lives long enough. just like his dad but weirder. in my humble opinion i think at some point he would get tired of trying to kill Zim and they'd eventually be still enemies but sometimes they just hang out and do actual research about stuff together. Zim is an asshole still, Dib hates his guts still, but they're like. friendly enemies. they do still try to kill each other on occasion, though. It's not friendship if they're not trying to slit each other's throats at least once a week. |

Sunday - We are nice to each other because it's our agreement (no fighting allowed) Monday - beat each other up Tuesday - studyhall with Zim Wednesday - Think of ways to prank each other maliciously Thursday - beat each other up Friday - game night Saturday - game night x2 / prank war of violence Or maybe something different if Dib has a job..... i can't realistically see Zim having to get a job unless he runs out of cash though, in which case, his poor ass would probably end up working at Mcdonalds. |

i dont trust people who unironically draw zim like this  thinking about this again. no specific person has been drawing zim liek this recently but my dreaming self saw sexy zim last night and wanted to strangle someone |

ive been seeing a bunch of irken empire lore fanon being tossed around on tumblr and other places recently and of course i have to dislike it because im a hater <3 but like seriously i have been looking at fanon lore a lot recently and realizing that like... almost everyone tries to make it zim-centric??? like all of history is because zim did a thing. or directly caused zim. or hes like, a reincarnation of a long lost tallest or something?????
like points for creativity but it feels so against the spirit of the show, it's not something where everythings got a reason and is SUPER connected and intricate. sometimes its a series of unfortunate and silly circumstances. sometimes its a hitchikers guide style nihilist comedy where the big overarching reason for everything is that someone stole a silly straw or something

"threatens you at gunpoint because you stole my color changing bendy straw." than "specific deep lore about the tallests" like no. no.... Betelgeuse is a lab experiment that just kind of left the lab one day and i think thats just fine for a backstory, like, it's kind of funny... my dude just wandered out of the lab and started making friends with random irkens and vortions (invaders, elites, janitors, frycooks, just, everyone he can talk to because he's a little weirdo) and now the tallest is screwed (whoever that may be) because if they try to get rid of him, all of his random friends are gonna like, notice that.
i think most fanon writers don't realize you can have irken empire drama without like. it having to be about Zim? just throw an oc in there and toss the rules in a blender. you'll be okay. also. if "all of history is because of zim!" then... are you implying that, somehow, Zim exists in some kind of quantum state? please do elaborate. if this involves demons i might let it slide.... one of my favorite canonical interactions is this one: Zim: "Skoodge? i thought the tallests killed you!" Skoodge: "yeah, but i'm fine now." |

I don't know if this has been said before, but when people have smeet characters that were created through pregnancy. I'm fairly certain that all Irkens must be sterile at this point in their history given that they reproduce entirely via cloning. It would also be much more interesting if the smeet characters were created through illegal cloning means if the person didn't want them to be created in a smeetery (Is that a canon or fanon term? I like it either way). Like, an Irken character steals cloning technology for their personal use to create a smeet.
