of all the ideas I threw around for clowns while I developed Wafer, I STILL think my favorite is Rodeo Clowns being an important fixture of the gladiatorial circut. Anyone who has the right to make fun of people and ideas publicly in a place like Irk is gonna need to be kept in check somehow and the idea of demoting someone to Rodeo Clown as punishment feels so properly Irken to me lol

Irken smeets who show a particular talent for show biz dresses like Small but Knowing Clowns.  Small but Knowing Smeet before their first performance. I based their clothes off the suits rich toddlers in the 1800's would wear. Scouts are constantly scouring smeeteries looking for smeets that have the chops to perform. Those that they take an interest in are shipped off to clown college to hone their skills. Sometimes smeets will "intern" at the household of a rich and tall Irken in order to entertain them and gain more performing experience. |
