This man doesn’t know when to quit digging. Hussie is why I’m terrified to being people into my projects to collaborate for fear I’ll ruin the production and workplace culture as much as he did. At least if I screw up on a project or procrastinate and it’s just me, no one else gets dragged down. There are so many things wrong with him. And the proshippers?? Why would you encourage them?? This man is a case study on how NOT to be a content creator or decent person. |

well this was around the time ao3 and OTW were being founded but basically he was (idk now) very in support of the concept of "you should ship what you want" and basically got all buddy buddy with Big Name ficwriters and fanartists of homestuck at the time that were... not very good. the general air of the fandom was that you did whatever you wanted as long as you werent directly hurting anybody so a lot of people would age up the homestuck characters that are canonically 13 for a majority of the comic and draw them fucking and fucking their siblings and parents and shit. and hussie was like "yeah!!! all ships are canon!" and you can See it in the comic that hes like. weirdly obsessed with incest? in the commentary he said he wanted rose and dave (siblings) to get together but it didnt work out, shit like that
one of those big names was ipgd which was an author of a fic romanticizing dave being molested by his brother (who is actually his genetic father) and they worked/work on a majority of homestuck 2 stuff along with hiveswap iirc
