okay so i think about irken biology alot liek how they would function as a species and i have quite a few headcanons abt it... first of all i think that Irkens have a set of ummm ant like pincers that are usually concealed in their mouths and can be folded outwards to be used as intended ( bitey bitey!!). they're mostly vestigial in modern irk and most irkens opt to have them removed. i didn't know where i wuz going with dis but ya  |

my first thought was "eyes glow in dark" but i felt too awkward to make a thread about it. paks might also have little error noises and make horrible little sounds like old DOS machines if something goes wrong with them...? i think irkens are probably customizable like the tallest could tell the smeetery machine like "hey make this" and i think theres probably a decent amount of cool stuff that could happen w/ mutations!!!!

OH OH OH DESE ARE ALL VERY VERY COOL IDEAS... first of all i LOVE glowy irken eyes and the pak thing... i have alot of thoughts on PAKs and how they work but i could go onnn 4 pages about that.. mutations are super interesting but i never thinking abt them!!!! ok so about paks lol i think they probably have the internal machinery arranged in layers so that in the occasion it gets damaged the least important parts get damaged more easily. like the vital functions are closer to the middle and stuff like the autonomy is closer to the shell. like if they lose a bit of their autonomy they can still function as purely drones, but you kinda still need them alive to do that XD. i wrote a huuuge post about it on tumblr but its so old it's buried... oops. for mutations i really enjoy the idea that the different body types have specific reasons why they formed originally ( like zim's, the tallests, and skoodges ) but idk how 2 word dat yet |

But yeah Sizz-Lor! is nearly as big as the tallests just...wider.. and they pick on both him and Skoodge for it! poor things. there were some cancelled episodes that went a bit more into other Irkens backstories, like we got robbed of a Tenn episode! and another Tak episode! and i weep for those scripts to surface every single day.
Bonus: the most we see of vortions in the series is some background vortions in the fast food place and Lard Nar. but there were other canceled episodes about them too! curse you Nicktoons!! curse you!!! |

THE CANCELLED EPISODES MAKE ME SO, SO SO MAD.. i feel like given enough time the show was definitely going to go more into Tenn and Tak and all that ( maybe i'm a bit biased... i'm completely biased, who am i joking XP ). i remember seeing art of a Tallest Sizzlor! AU last year on tumblr and it was super good i love the concept of it. totally not canon but really great. every day without the tenn script is another day lived in pain. same for the vortians its truly unfair we never got to learn about them... invader zim has a whole bizarre and kind of dumb world surrounding it and i need to KNOW |
