I'm literally so mad right now and I thought I'd post this because people here would understand.
Before going to work, I made an Invader Zim post on Tumblr. While checking the date for something on my phone, there were notifications on the lock screen showing that it was getting a decent amount of notes and I decided to check the people interacting with it when my shift was done. I don't block every zadr user I see because I feel like I'm being too mean? Instead there's a post pinned to my blog that says that zadr shippers are not allowed to interact and will be blocked if they do. I wrote the first thing IN BRIGHT RED CAPITALS so it wouldn't be missed. Out of 28 users who interacted with the post, 19 of them were zadr shippers. The hilarious part is that several of them made posts about how they don't want anti-zadr users interacting?? I'm genuinely considering blocking every Zadr user I see because clearly they don't know how to read.

the sad thing is tumblr search results use the content of the post as well as the tags so even mentioning it by name puts it in... and shippers love drama and victim complexes so their thing is to interact with those posts and then act like the victim when people get mad at them. try using image banners like this  |

Re: on the blocking thing: OP you don't owe anyone on the internet anything and if you see something you don't like blocking them is the right thing to do, but that being said, if you see something;say something. you can report very vile posts to tumblr staff (not like they'd... pay attention...they have a reputation of being................you know) but i feel like as the one that goes through random IZ blogs that show up in my sidebar and that people i follow reblog from meticulously that i should make a blocklist for everyone, but i don't know if theres a program that will automatically block blogs for you on tumblr if you download a file? if anyone can help me with that let me know and i'll import my 3,000+ blog blocklist to it (i've been on tumblr since 2012, not all of those are zim blogs, a lot are nsfw blogs in general and bots, along with generally nasty people who try to ruin peoples lives for fun)
block, block, block away!!! but if you see something very clearly illegal, report it. there are ways to report posts not just to tumblr, but literally the FBI if you need to (no i am not joking i know i sound like "UwU Cybur Powlice" but it's a real thing.)
If anyone needs someone to talk to i'm always a click away, too.

I don't know why social media accounts think that's a good feature to have because I've never heard somebody say that they like it. |

oh yeah over the past year i've blocked like almost every zadr in the fandom on tumblr, and they still find me. i don't get too many now but thats because they literally cannot interact with me. a couple times ive had a zadr reblog my post with a comment like " lol i cant read " and then go on to complain that they don't want "antis" (normal people) interacting. truly frustrating

The logic behind it is that Zim is hundreds of years old, but is also a child because maybe the Irken year is way different in comparison to an Earth year and that human and Irken development is not comparable. However, I think it's very strange that people assume that Irken adolescence is way longer when it's most likely the opposite considering that development is purposefully rushed by the empire to produce soldiers. They have machine enhanced brains, so they download them with all Irken knowledge and mentally age spontaneously. That isn't even a theory I made up, it was actually shown in Parent Teacher Night and would've been elaborated on in The Trial. Funny how people who can extensively examine Invader Zim skip over that. |

Zim was only a few minutes old when that happened. more specifically what i meant with my poorly worded post here was "if i know everything about everything but i'm a child with special privilege's (like a disney fast pass) i'm STILL a child." which goes for both of them, (eg;) "If Zim is an adult (he is) but he just happens to be incredibly immature (he is) and Dib is 12 (he is 12 literally)" but he's "really mature and smart" HE IS STILL. LITERALLY 12....!!!!! 12!!!!!!!!!! "You're going to fight Zim? someone with untold decades of military training?" "My name is Dib Membrane. i'm 12 years old." are canon statements. |
