I have a very hard question for you all: Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the second most glamorous character in IZ? We all know the first (it’s Miyuki) but the second is more interesting. My picks are Tak, Rarl Kove, Every Meekrobian ever. If we’re talking glamorous in an over-the-top fashion way, I’d say Tak, who has to be broke as hell but can make shit WORK. The way that she made herself a holographic disguise for herself and her sir unit and also converted a factory into her secret lair. If we’re talking glamorous in the rich posh sense, I’d actually go with Red? He’s probably the wealthiest character in the show and at least carries himself better than Purple. However, I imagine his decorative style being kind of tacky? Sure, he can afford many things but wealth doesn’t equal taste, unfortunately. "Tak is a Bond Villain" is not an idea I was expecting to see tonight. I like it.

Irken Dark Web equivalent to McMansion Hell run by an interior designer making fun of the terrible interior design taste of the Taller Orders.

If the ships and houses of the Almighty Tallest are hideous, imagine what kind of monstrosities tall Irkens with an unlimited budget and something to prove could cook up.

Backseat Drivers from Beyond the Stars becomes immediately less funny when keeping in mind that Lard Nar was being kept as a prisoner and most likely pulled together a group of people who were either imprisoned as well or people who were brave enough to fight the Irken Empire to face the people who were responsible for imprisoning himself and other his fellow scientists. I'm assuming that Lard Nar was taken to a research prison because both he and Prisoner 777 worked with the Irkens to design The Massive. No wonder Lard Nar wasn't a good commander and was terrified because he wasn't one previously.

Since Aesthetics™️ are everything to Irkens, what if going against the Aesthetic is basically challenging the state? Since Irkens are the best, anything they make must be the best by extension, yes?

I was also thinking that going against aesthetics is like challenging the state. Yeah, it's not an illegal offense to go against the design choices of Irken norms, but it will get you some very strange looks. For Irken architects and interior designers, making something completely different will get you reprimanded. Everything needs to look the same to match the aesthetic. Look at what the surface of Irk looks like; it's all similar looking. Not to mention that doing a new design that potentially won't work will reflect poorly on the Irken Empire versus something overdone that works well.

The entire crew of the Resisty is probably so, so traumatized.

There’s certainly a lot of variation within Irken architecture. It’s like totalitarian societies where lively debate is allowed, but only within a narrow slice.

Lard Nar sounded so terrified in that episode and so did Shloonktapooxis at one point. * Eminem voice * Woah, trauma be upon ye! But seriously talking, all of the Resisty's members have to have some serious trauma from losing their homes, watching their people get enslaved, and potentially getting enslaved themselves because we can't confirm if they're all from a research prison.

What if Zim and Tak accidentally introduce emo fashion to Irk, and from there it mutates into its own thing?
