Serious question: do you think Dib is better at cooking or baking? And: can Professor Membrane bake/cook at all? Dib strikes me more as a "make chili at 4am" or "eat nothing but lunchables for a week." type of kid like i was when i was into ghost hunting as a weird 12 year old. Membrane probably just doesnt cook often considering the frequency of which they go out to eat. (changed my opinion on this three times while writing this.) |

dib doesnt read instructions and is surprised every time he makes a monstrosity in the kitchen
membrane theoretically can cook but he gets distracted by the possibility of increasing temperature to make food cook faster or putting Chemicals to make it better but it always comes out fucked up
this is exactly why membrane created foodio actually. it wasnt for solving world hunger he just couldnt trust himself to make food without hubris

I'm also obsessed with Jhonen's decision to "shoot" some scenes like a sci-fi or horror instead of a kid's cartoon. YEAS.

Obsessed with repeated stress injuries in Irkens. How they must accrue over a lifetime of Doing Tasks and how their PAK must struggle to fix it only to have its hard work undone by the relentess grind of Irken life. Every day Betelgeuse breaks all four of his wrists from drawing too much and crafting too many bead tapestries and every night his pak has to manually repair the ligaments and hates it. ( /j ,but that fucker does have carpal tunnel syndrome.) |
