Toy Crossbows. Some IRL ones can actually perforate a metal can with only a toothpick from 60 feet.

Wait, I have a good one: The Miyuki U-238 Energy-Absorbing-Thingy Lab my first elite scientist experiment kit (now includes robe!) The warranty says very explicity, in very tiny text, that they assume no responsibility for any deaths of any Almighty Tallest that may occur while using this product.

Imagine a My First Star Chart kit for Future Navigators. Also, imagine a kiddy piano-like device, but it's a model of the Massive's consoles or the controls of a Megadoomer, specifically sized for little hands.
Also, Easy-Bake ovens for future food service drones in training

ok here was my design doc i doodled up before i made this thread... and also more features- smeet grinder: throw defective smeets in the garbage disposal if you dont want it affecting your rank. you dont get paid for it but its a small price to pay for maintaining your smeetery in a dystopian hellworld cadets randomly acquire influencing items to decorate their slot in the barracks, and can trade items with each other? probably not gonna code this one in until all the other systems are in place cadet schooling minigame: be your smeets' guidance counselor. influence their decisions. convince them to take their crush to cadet prom/their graduation party. lowers defectiveness but can also affect stats randomly/change their career path. also probably not gonna code this one until systems are in place request npc politics?: basically you can earn likeability/clout points with the npcs that request certain smeets of you, and can do a relationship minigame to earn their respect and make them give you more monies in exchange for commissioned careers. again not gonna code this until things are in place tallest system: one of the behavior trees for an adult irken with a high height stat can lead them to be tallest. this can affect the types of government commissions you get and which npcs request more often. also can change the value of items and how much it costs to expand your facilities. tallests with high defective stats have the highest chance of getting killed immediately though they have the best bonuses facility building: fallout shelter style facility management system. probably will code this second, since its probably gonna be a core part of the game. build and expand your facilities by buying out spaces in your megastructure block on irk. theres probably a reasonable limit bc i dont want players to manage more than like 50 smeets at a time with all those other games proposed above... facility transfers: probably not gonna be an online functionality, but god i wish i knew the first thing about doing that. instead its just a random interval "hey can you take these cadets/smeets in?" request, their stats are random. theyre more likely to be from the same template/batch. if i ever get online functionality as an actual thing you can transfer your smeets/cadets too, sending them to an online pool to distribute. best way to torment strangers with horrible defective little men hidden traits/stats: smeet/cadet personalities, relationships, quirks, that kind of thing. affects which career theyre likely to choose if you let them

some more thoughts... hire attendants to do certain tasks: would require a worker barracks, and you'd probably have to supplement their pay a certain amt. worker relations system would probably need to happen, and smeet affecting behaviors too. maybe if you fail to be a good boss they cause your smeets to be more defective. would be good for larger facilities maybe at some point if you have a too high percentage of defectives in your output you lose your facilities? or something like that. though rank already affects your ability to maintain them maintenance would probably not be a good system to add as its just another thing distracting you from the core gameplay features. BUT if i ever decided to make the game something that wasnt a fangame (for legal reasons) i know thats a main appeal to management game fans, is just fucking working with 90 billion systems i think maybe if i do turn this into a standalone game instead of a fangame (again for legal reasons) i'd probably need to change the theming of it to something that makes sense for an outsider. probably would change it to like, "manage an evil/alien cloning facility" or whatever. change the irkens to Original Species Do Not Steal. pet sims and other casual management sims are pretty popular nowadays it seems so itd be fun to work it into something that appeals to people

RE: hiring attendants...imagine if some of the attendants you could hire were former smeets of yours who you had sent down the smeet care career track. Probably hard to implement, but would still be cool. Family reunion!
