Thinking about how Irkens would show affection. As a matter of fact, I am touch-starved and miss my friends, why do you ask? - Sparring
- Sharing Food
- Cuddling, especially in cuddle puddles
- Apparently ants from the same hive greet each other by gently whacking the other's face with their antennae, so imagine Irkens reuniting doing that to each other, especially when one of them's returning from off-planet. <3
- Headbutting
- Sharing a blanket nest/building a blanket fort
- Mirroring each other (like cats!)
- Playful insults
- Preening each other's antennae
- Hugging/holding hands
- Cleaning each other's weapons/equipment
- Straightening/fixing each other's uniforms
- Back rubs/scratches (this one is ESPECIALLY Intimate because of the closeness to the PAK)
- Cleansing chalk baths
- Playing footsie/kicking each other under the table
- Sitting back-to-back
- Committing crimes together
- Gifting favorite snacks
- Table Drones will often interlock their PAK legs instead of holding hands because their tables mean they can't get close enough to hold hands properly.

Me and my homies go to the shopping planets and we steal all the makeup and throw it in the harbor.

Me and my homies go to the shopping planets and we steal all the makeup and throw it in the harbor. That reminds me! Fixing each other's makeup or war paint is absolutely a display of affection. Also, it's Irken tradition that all gifts for your friends or sweetheart(s) must be shoplifted in order to show your skillz.

Holding your best buddy in a headlock is also a display of affection. See below, actual footage of Red and Purple as Elites settling down for a nap.

I can't believe I forgot to mention happy chirpy Irkens. Puurrrriuuiip?Irkens go Mrrrrrppp? It’s very sweet sounding, but they’re also a species of meanies, even to each other most of the time. They can be surprisingly tender, though. When they are, you know they mean it. They mostly make chirpy noises when having their antennae pet or back scratched by someone they trust.

They mostly make chirpy noises when having their antennae pet or back scratched by someone they trust. i also like when cats just go "Mmrp?" like a short and super cute sound... one of my cats is very loud and he screams "MRRROOWAAWWRR??" but the other just beeps. she makes an "aa!" sound when she wants something. she'll go "aa aa!!" to get your attention. she never meows. my cat i lost recently used to go "Mrrp?" when you patted him and he wasn't expecting a pleasant pat, he was also a yell-y type cat, he would bring me dead things and sit ominously at the glass sliding door holding it until i noticed him, and then would make me take it and he would rub up all over my legs. he was trying to feed me! to get around this, i would "pretend" to eat the poor dead rodent he would bring me daily and when i was sure he wasn't looking i would take it back outside and throw it away... (he never brought me birds, just rodents. so i was fairly confident he could stay an outdoors cat because he wasn't wrecking the local bird population) he was very fond of giving you hard headbutts! loved pepperoni, i miss this dude! he was so funny. One of my other cats, Toast, would stay in a box constantly, he liked boxes. he was weird.

Irkens going mrrp? When startled by a pleasant hug from behind. Also, most Irkens cuddle on their sides, facing each other, or on their tummies. PAKs make spooning inefficient for Irkens in the same size range.
The Elite Tattoos also double as a landing strip for forehead kissies.

A common Irken endearment is “smeetie” or “smeetspooch” (a sickeningly affectionate variation of this is “smeetilysqueech”), equivalent to our “sweetie”, “baby”, or “sweetheart”. It also has connotations of immaturity when used as insult, however. There’s also “squintz” which is used in a similar way to using “love” as a pet name.

I can’t believe I forgot “bug” or “grub” as an endearment!
