ok so on the topic of media that reminds me of IZ uhhhh heres a reclist. feel free to rec some too

manga / anime about a guy who wakes up with amnesia and his face has turned into that of lizard. the world is constantly invaded by sorcerers who use humans as test subjects for their magic, and the guy wants to find the guy who made him Like That so he can live a normal life again. its very gory and has a noir feel to it but its very lighthearted and doesnt take itself too seriously. the wizards wear air force ones. the Devil has a youtube lets play channel and is in love with the final antagonist because hes creepy. its really fun.

uhhh unfortunately this manga... doesn't really have any good translations available online. most of them flipped the images to theyre red right to left rather than left to right which throws me off when reading manga like Seriously. but the art is good and the dialogue is REALLY minimal so its not really a problem, it just throws me off every time lolll
the main guy is looking for someone with "terminal DNA" which has the access codes to the robot system building the megastructure and making things inhospitable to humans. the scope of the megastructure is never specified but its implied it extends through the entire solar system. wack

(warnings: religious themes, a trans woman protagonist faces casual transphobia and misgendering from a villainous faction, sex, nudity, gore, drugs, slavery)
ok so like. imagine the wackiness of morrowind and literally every trope from a kung fu/wuxia movie. put it in a gnosticism setting (god is dead, reject authority, seek heaven through violence) and youve got ksbd. the comic starts off a bit nsfw and theres a bit of sex and nudity in it but its not like. gross and "i have never met a woman"-y i honestly kind of forget its even a thing tbh
the main character is allison, a former weeb trying desperately to fit in at a sorority and live up to the expectations of society- when all of the sudden when she and her asshole boyfriend are making out, a Fucking Headless God busts in and gives her the Key Of Kings, a mythic item that gives her access to all 777,777 universes. this pisses a lot of people off and she has to deal with the consequences of unlimited power and the people that want it from her
the comic has just started the last book and is gonna be wrapping up soon (in webcomics time) so nows a great time to catch up and watch the insane fights that will be going on
ill probably come up with some more later but these are the ones. dont worry too much about my warnings pretty much all of the like Bad shit is like. treated in a respectful way imo or else i wouldnt be reccing it.
