its a silly theory but iirc in the wettening the balloon targets the midwest, and in the most recently quarterly the fist containing the santa beast blasts off from that general area

i dont have the energy to prove it with hundreds of screenshots and triangulations and if jhonen says it takes place in like, idk, the bay area, im not gonna lose my mind over it. any of yall have thoughts

according to some other lore this is hinted at in the TV series as well but like same i'm not going to dig for it but if i find any posts about it something specific i'll go through my archives to prove/disprove it.
