Cancellation, CGI budget and other things (WALNUT INCIDENT/)

/RUMORS) my title was too long
JV once stated that the reason the show was cancelled was because they accidentally went incredibly over their CGI budget, and to make this make sense we have to contextualize some things first:
-the year was 2000.
-Early CGI animation was incredibly expensive and difficult to do.
-The computers needed for the CGI animation were NOT CHEAP either, nor were the programs, time, learning to use them. or MAKING the episodes.
-Nick gave them a SPECIFIED budget which was not "much" apparently
-The CGI took up almost all their specific budget already.

the walnut incident: (This post is based off of old information from an old forum and some of JV's twitter posts/an interview as follows, take this all with, like, a bottle of saline, we can't outright confirm or deny this is/isn't true)
As legend has it, what "Most likely caused (us) to get cancelled" was something that was referred to as "the fucking walnut incident" which, as entails by the title of the incident, pertained to a 3d model file which was ordered for S1:E9(A).
Walnuts.
Now, somehow, somewhere, due to some kind of galactic, ethereal, mesmerizing misunderstanding, when JV and the team working on the shows CGI put in an order for a 3d model file for some walnuts, what they received immediately put them over budget in what JV referred to as "the most fucking expensive walnuts ever." once. and then said in the same post "if i had to think of any one thing that got us completely cancelled, it would be the god damn walnut incident. not Dark harvest, not the Halloween special none of that, it was the fucking walnuts. and Nick was pissed." and then later proceeded to delete this information, apparently.

Personally i completely believe the Walnut theory. and unless JV outright makes an account on here, follows my account and then quote posts this thread with "Betelgeuse you're a fucking idiot and you're completely fucking wrong, THIS is what actually happened" (and we can PROVE it's him) then i will CONTINUE to believe the walnut/overbudget theory. because out of all the cancellation theories i've seen about the show this one makes absolutely the most sense.
Also if i find sources for this later (IT'S BEEN LIKE 5 YEARS SINCE I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS THOERY AT ALL LET ALONE SEEN THE SOURCES FROM THE TIME) i will edit them into this post.
(small edit: the "walnut theory" also includes the fact that JV said "We were always going over budget and Nick didn't like that." )
