thinking about irken beauty standards beyond height. body shape? facial features? do irkens prefer red eyes over other colors? young or old appearance? these are the queastions...

i personally am projecting my type here and i say irkens would probably look at sizz-lorr and go "i met the most beautiful man in the galaxy at mcdonalds today". buff middle aged appearing irkens probably are favored over the twiggy cadet looking types

They like long faces for tall Irkens. There's more than a few people who think Sneakyonfoota is the most gorgeous Irken they've ever seen.

I also think they're kind of like salmon-colored-short-wearing Cape Cod Frat Boy hot too. They're so bad for you, but they're nice to look at from a distance. |

I wonder if Tallests are considered attractive by default due to the idealization of taller irkens being programmed into their paks?
I mean, look at Zim. I've got this headcanon that he's so creepy towards them because of his faulty pak cranking it up to 11. All irkens find taller irkens attractive at varying degrees.

I think Miyuki actually shifted the beauty standards a bit. She wasn’t considered conventionally attractive when she came to power, but she had such a presence the beauty standards changed around her. (Kind of like Cleopatra, in a way, although Cleopatra was never considered conventionally attractive).

That is an Absolutely horrifying idea. I’m fascinated by it. Implying the dystopian hellscape that is Irken society wouldn't do something like that. What better way to condition people to not question the highly questionable system of making the leader the tallest person then subconsciously plant the idea that being tall is very desirable and people with this trait are deserving of respect and admiration? |
