i keep thinking about this rp and its lore 24/7 so here is a thread where i will put random thoughts about it and you guys can ask questions or get in on the jokes or whatever.

uhhh bubububuh.... time to infodump about SOMETHING ok here goes:
some of our rp plot threads are so winding and wacky that this might not make sense but we had miyuki come back from the dead immediately after finishing our first major saga bc we were like whoa... miyuky. and i originally intended for her to be an evil Bitch who kills people but as always i end up making overly complex war criminal characters who aren't just black and white "theyre the bad guy bc they did bad things" and eventually it turned into a theme of generational systemic violence
essentially miyuki in tnc is a classic tragic protagonist initially stuck in a highly structured set of circumstances (partially crafted by the control brains, partially just irken society reacting to the brains' social engineering) that lead her to do a lot of fucked up things in her own self interest. by the time shes inserted into the tnc narrative she's gone through the end of her tragedy and basically claws her way out of computer hell to make a new body for herself and reestablish what she thinks is a just society without the puppeteer of all the fucked up shit, eg the control brains.
and by that time in our rp the control brains have been reformed into a fucked up grandpa and are trying their hardest to be kind and take a back seat to the entirety of the irken empire while abolishing the shit they recognize to be wrong now, so when miyuki comes back shes PISSED that they have the audacity to judge her on her own actions when half the things she did were at their order. after she goes nuts for a bit the brains exile her to the middle of the desert on earth and she joins a cult commune that thinks theyre reincarnated irkens but thats another story for another time
i think its interesting to have that dynamic between two antagonists/former antagonists, especially when like, no media i consume ever likes to portray complicated narratives like that. i dont think either of the characters can be really considered antagonists in the typical pop culture sense tho bc theyre not like, evil. theyre victims of their ancestors' plans, which i will probably talk about later bc i loooveee talking about generational systemic issues that stem from fucked up shit some guys did
this is all just stream of consciousness rambling ^ btw, not my usual type of analysis of my own rp work its just that its 1 am so i am brain stupid

one of our minor characters gave birth in a hot topic offscreen and i think about it constantly. that was canon afaik. also that was my choice. i dont understand why i chose hot topic of all places but i chose it retroactively after we established the babies existed so i guess that says a lot about me
also irken hot topic is called eeby deeby and its literally just claires. this is different from hot topic (normal) mentioned above, eeby deeby is its own store with its own lore, such as being a place to get body modification surgeries and also pick out bedazzled arm cuffs while youre at it

those two posts are indicative of the tone of iz:tnc actually. you get really heavy themes of generational trauma and war crimes and then in the next channel over this is happening

i think my favorite thing to ever happen in iztnc is when we did like an entire sub-arc entirely over minecraft and voice chat. like canonically our characters were playing minecraft with each other a whole bunch. DURING the most stressful series of events in the whole rp ?!?!?! that was really funny and deeply awesome (and is lost to time forever because i was supposed to be recording it but i messed up the audio)
