my favorite obscure piece of media is petz (the original 5!) which were just a series of pet simulators. theres still a small community 4 it but i consider it obscure cuz nobody i talk 2 rlly knows wut it is (its been a special interest since liek... birth XD )

which is an "anime" on youtube thats 100% a giant shitpost
but i remembered it suddenly because the song the creator uses as the opening came up in my shuffle today
Definitely worth a watch if you want to intentionally watch something.... really weird...
(fair warning it gets VERY LOUD sometimes....!)

BOY DO I!!!!!!! I have a big soft spot for robot characters in media in general and cuz of that I really really love the Steamworld franchise (which is a bunch of viddy games lol), especially Steamworld Quest <333 it's a deck builder RPG with a mix of traditional fantasy and steampunk vibes and it just makes me happy  we got so many cute robots my dude.... THERES ALSO A CANONICAL WLW BAYBEYYY!!!! (Copernica my beloved.....) I really need to replay it sometime lmao The other SW games are worth checking out too!!! SW Quest is mostly a stand-alone game, but the rest are more connected in a lore sense  |

Just remembered that this thread exists and some of my favorite obscure media are the 2008 animated children's movie Igor (My first special interest!) and the early 2000's anime Popee the Performer. I even own the untranslated manga of Popee the Performer.  |

DINOSQUAD. It's like an obscure memory in my head but I loved watching it... It's about a group of teens that get like infected with dinosaur dna (??) which causes them to be able to transform into dinosaurs
I also watched Dinosaur king constantly until I forgot what episode I was on
(idk how obscure these exactly are but I never hear them get talked about outside of like 1 friend)
