Wait, I just remembered that Vortian horns can move. I don't know what they're composed of, but they're definitely not the same thing as horns on Urth.
I can't think of anything akin to horns that can move because those are all solid, but skin with a skeletal structure that has joints underneath wouldn't make sense either because it doesn't look like it's made from that. Something like insect antannae maybe? Now that I'm thinking about it, that could straight up be exposed bone that we're looking at with the joints being naturally shielded, which is different from horns because that's made from keratin. looking up types of antennae they reminds me of some types of bee antennae which have a similar kinda segmentation pattern when seen up close? |

i also conveniently forget they (canonically) molt. i am looking away i do not see it Actually, all aliens in IZ off their home planets molt during the Galactic Equinox, so irkens may not molt under normal conditions. I just realized what a galactic horror show that would be. EVERY alien offworld would molt. All the Irken Armada. All the Invaders. ALL OF FOODCOURTIA. |
