The Irken alphabet doesn't have a letter "Z". There was never going to be a place for Zim. Or his name is just spelled/pronounced "Sim" or "Jim". Or, possibly the funniest explanation, they just removed whatever character makes a "Z" sound from the alphabet after Zim was born. Zim technically outranks Tak-or he did, before he was demoted to Food Service Drone. He was a full-blown Irken Elite and a Proper Invader. Tak was just an Elite Trainee who didn't even get to take her final exam and couldn't break out of a measly testing pod. I'm surprised Zim didn't pull rank and lord his rank over her...unless he's not completely in denial about his demotion. That reminds me, is Tak older or younger than Zim? The fact that she was still a trainee when Zim was running around on Devastis makes me think she was younger than him (10+ year smeethood + undetermined amount of time since she took the test + 50 years since Devastis blackout= Tak being 60+, probably older). Zim is canonically older than any living human on Earth, so he's at least 122. (SHOTS FIRED, CHILD X IRKEN SHIPPERS). On the other hand, Tak being older than Zim and Zim's time as a scientist basically counting as college credits allowing him to skip a lot of training and become an Elite before Tak did (despite her being older) is absolutely hilarious. |

It would be kind of cool if Zim wasn't lying when he said in The Trial that he is still in contact with her. thats the only reason he god his credits he passed faking her death. no but, college courses are divided into segments each worth a credit or two....just because you fail the over-all course doesn't mean you didnt pass the internal classes. therefore he literally COULD have gotten credits for it. |

But he's also a ditz. That guide book was so accurate. |
