Thinking about the Universe's Most Comfortable Couch. It really takes a special kind of Irken (specifically a really, really indoctrinated Irken) to want to destroy the UMCC instead of sleeping the day away on it.

What I wouldn't give to flop down onto a Vortian Cushy Couch at the end of a long day... Vortians are probably famous for their comfortable furniture. I like to think that VRS9 had a break room with the comfiest chairs you can imagine. Vortian furniture would treat me right. It wouldn't make my back and joints hurt.

Getting back to the theory that the events of Backstreet Drivers broke the Massive to the point it's just floating through space, here's some star charts from The Nightmare Begins. Aside from being an absolutely gorgeous shot, the arrows clearly show plotted courses radiating out from either Irk or Conventia in a manner that could be likened to island-hopping. So maybe if the Massive broke to the point that it couldn't make those kind of journeys anymore, the Tallest just said "screw it" and plotted a new course using planets that were on the original flight path aligned in a strait line. Or it could just be like ckret2 on Tumblr said where the Massive requires so much fuel it's easier just to go in a strait line rather than waste fuel turning.

I love that first idea, but I'm leaning towards "The flight course of The Massive pre-Backseat Drivers became too much for The Tallests post-Backseat Drivers because it reminded them too much of when the ship got overtaken". Now that I'm thinking about it, repairing the ship would imply to the public that their beloved mothership is not indestructible and would look bad for morale if it was known that it was wrecked by a newly formed resistance.

It's always hard to accept a fall from greatness. In addition, repairing the ship and having to explain why it was damaged would not only demoralize the Irken populace, but would say 1. The Massive can be damaged enough to where it has to postpone conquering 2. There are rebellious groups who can do this. It would be pouring water on the grease fire of Anti-Irk rebellions. Plus, the Massive is kinda unwieldy. Its greatest strengths are its big size and its guns. Without its armada protecting it, it's a sitting duck.

Now that I think about it, Miyuki and the Vortians were probably going to use the Massive for a gunboat diplomacy strategy.

I'm not sure how Irkens are able to sweat and get acne when they don't have hair.

I love fuzzy Irkens... All Irkens are slightly fuzzy but most have short, thin fuzz. Longer, denser fuzz is less common but it's not a rarity(<--- I love making stuff up so much)
