I'm really curious about how aliens made to work with the Irkens feel about the Irken Empire using child labor. Especially the ones who are parents. I can imagine some of them trying to offer Zim help with projects and getting things off shelves when he obviously needs it, but he's already swallowed so much of the propaganda that 'Irkens are the best' and 'Irkens need no help from aliens' he won't let them help him. It must feel mortifying to work with these Irkens who are like "I can do this myself; I'm ten years old!"

Some variation of "Zim...baby...no", must have gone through their brains at least 10 times a day. Zim was assigned as a scientist when he was less than 10 if I remember correctly, not even old enough to officially leave the underground yet, so he was Little little. I can imagine him being some monstrous fusion of the 17 year old interns who think they know everything and Young Sheldon.

[From The Trial script]
Head Scientist: Well, there's our infinite energy producing thingy. And Lard Nar here has begun work on preliminary designs for your new BLUDGEON CLASS fleet leader.
Next to the throbbing energy generator Lard Nar, a VORTIAN, salutes Miyuki and proudly presents a holographic model of the Massive ship-to-be.
Zim (Butting in): DOOKIE!! That thing'll never fly!
...Oh my Brains. Zim told Lard Nar TO HIS FACE that his design for what would eventually become The Massive sucked. That must have stung. All this from an not-quite-smeet. Poor Lard Nar, getting his prototype chewed out by a little lima bean with an attitude. XDDD

Lard Nar and Prisoner 777 personally worked with Zim when he was still very young, he was ranked as an elite scientist for his "brilliance" and "creativity" by Miyuki, Lard Nar we know for a FACT had some sort of bond with Zim, a fearful and cautious one yet he knew Zim personally, Zim FORGOT who Lard Nar was, Lard Nar pretends he doesn't know Zim, but yet he knows information about him no one else does, 777 knows that Zim's favorite color is purple and that his favorite animal is a moose. (777 made Mini moose for Zim) and Zim Has 777's children imprisoned in the depths of his base and is presumably taking "decent care" of them. (delete children button lol) 777 doesn't seem too worried about his children being in Zim's clutches, i think he knows Zim won't hurt his children for some reason... so heres the thing, Zim not knowing who Lard Nar was despite having literally been one of his co-workers under Miyuki's control, Zim not knowing who Miyuki is DESPITE being one of her own scientists, Zim never mentions who Miyuki is until he is accused of killing her.I think his memory has been meddled with at some point, perhaps after Miyuki's death, which he somehow escaped punishment for, he had his memory altered by someone to, in a sense. protect him from himself. Someone is protecting Zim from the empire. heres my question.... who is it? Could it be almighty tallest Red?

Tonight's a good night for lore hunting and theorizing. I'm not complaining! Personally, I think Zim unconsciously suppressed his memories of VRS9 and that's why he doesn't remember anything there, but the idea that he's had his memories tampered with to protect him is such a juicy possibility.

I don't know, but when i look over and overanalyze everything in the show, the comics, the movie....Zim either has some sort of overwriting glitch like a cheap fake chinese 3 terabyte flashdrive or his pak has been tampered with... but when you look at all the shit he weasels his way out of somehow, and the fact that Red gives him things left and right, listens to him ramble for 2 hours for some reason and then we later learn that Red authorized giving Zim an older model of voot to get him to leave them alone about it.... like! something is going on here!!!! i feel it in my..... bones, i guess. Or, well, in the metal implanted in my spine, i guess... that feels very, feely, right now.

Zim has killed many people, but personally killing his leader on accident? That's got to be bone chilling for a person who was programmed to worship their leader. I could genuinely write about Zim's trauma for days.

Or it might be the same instinct as to why I have a flash drive with all my middle school art hidden in a little box in my house.
