oh my god! i totally forgot about that until now! Red was shown as being pretty capable as a tallest before that episode but then when he had to MANUALLY OVERRIDE AND HACK MIYUKI'S SHIP (which we've been shown pretty clearly neither of them exactly know how to completely operate and that it's kind of been breaking down slowly through all the shit it's been through) IT WAS PRETTY CLEAR. and also "SAAAAVE THE DOUGHHHHNUUUTTTSSS!" was a good line. (Purple canonically having motion sickness? very interesting.) my guy just wants to chill out, he's done with all the space business. he couldn't fix Miyuki's ship if he tried. and Irk? theres no chance in hell of returning to Irk if they made it all the way to Urth, which was "Zillions of lightyears away from conventia and Irk" they are stranded. In The Massive. it's their own personal hell Literally. There would probably be enough resources for them to last a while in that ship, but dear god, the long wait in the place where they almost died twice until the equivalent of a space tow truck got there.

the bad part is that the control brains probably won't let them tell anyone that something is wrong, they are literally incapable of telling the other irkens if something has (and trust me it has) gone wrong. they are essentially lost at sea with thousands of loyal soldiers (and a few outliers) and hundreds of other ships following them to their destruction. irkens will probably waste away before they conquer the entire galaxy, whens the last time The Massive had a tune-up?
Do Red and Purple even know that Lard-Nar essentially made the giant (now a) death trap they're floating around in?
Do they have any idea what they should do? no, not exactly, i think quite frankly, they're a bit scared to even hint something might be wrong.

Here's an interesting way to work around this, have a maintenance crew come to the Massive and then the Irken Government pays them off to not say anything. The media reports a bullshit story about the Irken armada and Massive scoping out the previously unknown part of the galaxy, as indicated on the map of the universe in The Nightmare Begins, for potential conquering and taking a while to get back because of that. The crew and Tallests return on course alive, but they're not allowed to say anything about the incident.

Given that Prisoner 777 was more than willing to hand out the schematics of The Massive, there's got to be some more deadly surprises hidden on that ship. What if the previous Tallests or the current Tallests know that The Massive is a floating death trap, but aren't allowed to say anything because of The Massive being such an iconic piece of military machinery for Irkens and not wanting to reveal that the Vortians had more of an upper hand than the civilians think?

A personality based AI~

RE: The Massive being a floating death trap. You know, CKRET2 on Tumblr calculated that the Massive can fit trillions of Irkens and still have space for storage, so there's probably rooms in that thing that haven't been opened for years, and there's probably unpressurised sections of the ship where if you accidentally ended up in them (or were shoved in)...well, bad things would happen. And the Massive is so big and complicated the Vortians and other scientists responsible for the actual building of the ship after Lard Nar's prototype probably had a field day packing it with death trap design flaws.
And about the Massive being a ship lost in space with a full crew...this is very, very dark, but how long do you think it would take for the situation on the Massive to turn into something resembling what happened to the whaleship Essex?
